He is also a big brother times two! Hadley Jane went from three months to Two years in a flash and our new baby James Blaine that we call Jimmy is almost three months old!<div><br></div><div>Over the last three years I have had the best and toughest moments of my life. Learning how to keep my patience with not only one toddler but two had been a little more difficult than I thought and I have learned so much with each time I have lost it. I try to remind myself when the kiddos start to challenge me that this is how they are learning so many things and teaching me so many things at the same time.</div><div><br></div><div>Since sweet Jimmy was born it is almost as if I am a whole new mom. My anxiety I had with Bobby about being the perfect mom that can still do everything is gone. I now know if I don't get dinner made or the house cleaned up then we will just order out or make grilled cheeses and the house can wait until after kids go to bed. I know my husband would like homemade dinners but he now understands I don't just sit on the couch and do nothing all day. I have yet to find more than 30 minutes in any day where I am just sitting on the cough relaxing before kids are sound asleep for the night. If the kids are playing well together I am doing laundry, trying to figure what I might be making for dinner, cleaning up, feeding a baby or sometimes taking deep breaths to try and help me see past the mess of the house and just dive in and play with the kids.</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKes1VphbPXjxXa1vP8VDlYsryBcWvGRwDte1En6d9RaoEHVtW0P5Fog-MyYfxq8fuShOkmrsa032vnzZbCc658oCCMN-uQjj8FjMfHJz7CMDOphEsrcSHDpSHo1o0fZXJpI0xgsBRea_z/s640/blogger-image-1452337329.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKes1VphbPXjxXa1vP8VDlYsryBcWvGRwDte1En6d9RaoEHVtW0P5Fog-MyYfxq8fuShOkmrsa032vnzZbCc658oCCMN-uQjj8FjMfHJz7CMDOphEsrcSHDpSHo1o0fZXJpI0xgsBRea_z/s640/blogger-image-1452337329.jpg"></a>2</div><br></div><div>I absolutely love my life with all the ups and downs that keep it more interesting.</div>thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-90538129834953574792011-08-29T19:57:00.000-07:002011-08-29T20:57:53.314-07:00Bobby is 10 months old!

Oh it has been so much fun to watch him grow into the fun, sweet little boy he is. Over the past few days he has learned how to finally get around on his own. No, he is not crawling yet on his hands and knees but he is army crawling all over the house. From the second he wakes up until he closes his eyes he is wanting to be on the move. Whether it be holding your hands while he walks around to the dog bowl to splash water all over the floor, the bathroom to unroll all the toilet paper or just to see how long he can go before his legs get tired. He is just so much fun. We have also seen that he may have what my family calls "Germanize". This means he has a little bit of a temper and everything needs to go by his watch or he may start to breathe heavy and give you "the look". I don't know where he got that :).

Weeks before the trip I was terrified as to how Bobby would do on the plane as a 9 month old. Is he going to cry, scream, laugh, sleep or just relax? Everyone told me to chill out about it which as everyone knows, that is not really something I am good at it.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5636460438497002674" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6IuETGt17fVUy36TdxSLlzpF7I86sp-PMNYQT3irYU6NDeEY_HNkVOkXV9PTL_LFe1lTk3EJ_eBUubnKr1eWd8Ua5eVE7leyNO6Ch76PwwKh83_CrYvzXg2jGAe0FGG2bnsvpRlDrMVNx/s400/IMG_1561.JPG" /> On the the flights to Florida Bobby was awake for the first half of both and fell asleep for the second half. He was a perfect angel! As we were walking towards baggage claim in Fort Meyers we spotted Nana and <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">PopPop</span>. I think they were wondering if Bobby would remember them, then when Bobby spotted them he was grinning ear to ear wanting to get out of his stroller and into Nana's arms. I love how he is now purposely reaching to be held by people now. Something about those sweet little arms stretching as far as they can towards you just melts your heart. Not to mention the sweet little face that is giving you puppy eyes as well.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5636460447006548002" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNsyza0s5MhHKCbWmAfKi8uFYmvMdQ_SQZ-Rtl4FtOUKVyA9rRz_r6Bk9PyC5o2rcugrL-oHCsiy3zp8Qtz1eNc9hboVMnzzfbT7PkDBAE8ufW6VZmCL9CxRh3_JRZ-UM-tpg56hj7MGk-/s400/IMG_1452.JPG" />We got to the condo and by the time I could get Bobby's diaper changed Robby walks out of the room in his swim trunks ready for the beach. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, our little Bobby is a little swimmer not a little sunbather. When we would step foot on the beach Bobby would just look out at the Gulf as if all he wanted to do was get in there. I would lay his towel out and sit him down while I got everything else out and ready mean while Bobby would be sitting there screaming crying reaching those arms up at me with those puppy eyes filled with tears. Daddy would then swoop him up and off they went to the water. </div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5636456983616680418" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzq18hng4-6DniFJpHadfzdhS02sdo-8HDMJ9bMGvuFCr2AT2WUnVMkjTl9YueYDsLxSfar7kxjQTccLiPwKyW_PwgvL_gMPKaRoooXTn9Ach1ewO_B_-neEPoCLLk6otrvKWMs5Frcvrs/s400/IMG_1469.JPG" /> Almost instantly when Bobby felt the water on his toes he would start bending over trying to get his face under the water. He only lasted 20 minutes or so in with the salt water and then off we would go to the pool where he would kick, scream, laugh and play for another 30 minutes or so.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5636458228347166306" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG740QxQPwsCqq-zx-ui1XTqjFFiRm7ZghJrDaMw1k79rlnPSSVAKTT6dlTWDpooWAMpkF3L-LlVoA8TzCMA2OXGsVr3HpJoDk5XwHxFKyK1DLRYQIqZQejKqWH_o06AUOqtN1cEwUmTGT/s400/IMG_1511.JPG" /> We had so much fun taking naps in the big bed together along with some nights. Having a pack and play next to a bed with a crying baby in the middle of the night does not fly with mommy. Bobby would always end up in bed between us snuggled close to mommy. Even though he woke up many times in the night it was probably my favorite way to sleep. <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Every time</span> he would wake up, he would nuzzle close to me as I rocked my hips back and forth to put him back to sleep. I just loved feeling his breath on my chest and his little fingers touching my arms.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5636461071046312898" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJlwZ-N6xMLepcmxGJAhd78zwPNKLHiljjvVTHR18qHEmELxIk7amdUgBKTgWcxBcM17Algg8kxEy9JnB0yC_ziU1pTmWExrXb6DhsHF6LNalM2DcYmvmNPS2evKUw7Uy38TFiNxQvoLsP/s400/IMG_1603.JPG" />Bobby had many firsts while at the beach... his first flight, time on the beach, in the Gulf, walking while holding onto mommy or daddy's hands and his first boat ride. We took a ride on the Thriller, this took us all around <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">Sanibel</span> and <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">Captiva</span> Island. On they way back we had some friends that were having fun in the wake behind the boat.... yes they were dolphins. He has a mildly flat head and the helmet will help round it out in just a few months. He doesn't seem to mind it too much, his mom on the other hand can not stand it. I can no longer kiss his sweet little head while I hold him or his round little cheeks. But I guess it is something we should do. He has not really been sleeping well, getting up every 2-3 hrs at night, he also has not been eating very well. A couple days ago we went to the doctor for about the 10th time in the past 2 months and found out he has a double ear infection (this is his 4 and 5 ear infection) along with RSV. Now don't freak out, he is not in the hospital. RSV is a respiratory virus that if untreated or undetected can lead to dehydration and hospitalization. Bobby is fine, well as fine as he can be I guess. He is now receiving breathing treatments at home every 4-6 hrs and sleeping 5-7 hrs at night!!! It is amazing how great a baby can feel and sleep when he can finally breath! <br /><div><br /><div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 191px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5590786978536105762" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEkW2slzqp7Mu62cQ8DyjOC4Pu01pDD8SuXM41sE3tXUJeE6jy319-WEPLO954aDsrQz0QXABRxfN3ST39kkGYS3cnaVCTbF8JvvcxqDyogjRMHDRXo1dKl4WhYRFyzYBz4FXVhBE4w4Az/s320/bobby+and+poppop.jpg" /> <br /><div>I will update with more pictures this weekend! </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Love you all </div><br /><div></div></div></div></div>thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-52547515392871547992011-01-30T17:13:00.001-08:002011-01-30T19:05:21.472-08:00Bobby is 3 months oldHere is Bobby with his two doggies.. Of course he is! <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568178823637757538" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg71Oo1BRi0f9sZLhBQ8NINWR-RbCmeP5t3AMTACMFjLjMhnHQrTMGHNztJvd-uHJCaTVews1RFEWD7_ZwfZQhpRIaAqlw1lRaPMJ1x5sUQcaVasMvktfcYpwY9T8N1-fuZdUkTjrN67Hv2/s320/IMG_0933.JPG" /><br /><div><div><div><div><div>We truly can not believe how quickly Bobby has grown up! Why can't some of the things our parents told us when we were younger not be true? I will say, we have loved every second with our sweet little boy. Just watching him smile, giggle, blow bubbles, roll over, reach for things, kick his legs, talk, yell and cry has been so much fun. The smallest things seem so amazing to us. Today he was really trying to reach for one of his toys, he was so determined to hit it that took about 3 minutes. Finally he reached it and started smiling so big ! Why can't life as an adult be this way? </div><br /><div>Yesterday we went to see our good friend, Melissa and Chris Clarkson at the hospital. They had an adorable little girl, Nora Jewel Friday night. We joke that she and Bobby are going to be boyfriend and girlfriend... if that doesn't work out though they will be best friends. Nora weighs 7lbs 15oz, so 10oz more than Bobby weighed when he was born and I just can't believe bobby was ever that small or smaller. When we got to the hospital I just could not stop looking back and forth at this tiny little girl in my arms and the big boy bouncing on daddy's lap. It took all of my strength not to start tearing up, of course at how precious little Clarkson girl is but also that Bobby is so big now. I will post a picture of Melissa and I holding our little/big sweet bundles soon.</div><br /><div>Now for the pictures... Here is Bobby at bath time. He just loves getting undressed and carried around naked, but when we put him in the bath his eyes just light up at the touch of the warm water on his skin. He is not yet smiling and giggling in the bath but he is concentrating on kicking his legs and splashing the water with his arms every once in a while. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568177189230907378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNHDDdEEdVbmfL65wXR0Ry0IOkpunkcoz-qusqW5s7K-UN6GNiG2gLSJqw26PK2om35LeAEa2ep1ey8OMCmTaCz1IQF1eC1ldQhvxhVRe7SXcGpOYDI5NQcyDkBjXM_WkYAMpWHbLcrGH3/s320/IMG_0958.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568177177430934466" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGI67Ot_Z_wOkdovg5VjiADeYFDDHy_wmmugGV6hZQhGV6z-qyctbzKMP-zS05hR3tu-f2Jv47m38U3oe4Fm0FbtUwGVvasAqTDXryK4lsOFLEdzf6rGSD0wYiuavKe6KBOZ8spQSJiWbu/s320/IMG_0963.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568175614646643442" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyNhwJyXdD91VIi3Mh9UO3p0H4gSCN0J6Gom_WcOv7aGrTrKV5RLCQ1JcfnTCP_dQF8Q4B0YavsnWJ9FtfUqyYmyrCHTSOPWEzGbv7TTDt1x3ZlKyPNf7ZjXMihpRz_MlkAaNexalLUpS-/s320/IMG_0977.JPG" /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5568175604973358978" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF0MUxnMTEQhreLFi0EbXI-wFCD7M4bK9taRPjlK49N-ylpS0133U5eUwz7yqmpeztiFqxEfqQmaUHnHTtvGngSwd0CSrDpJ8rlK76VUltnhybEroDT0kT1X_nYuMVYlnNRB4lMfeWw-hV/s320/IMG_0980.JPG" /> <div></div></div></div></div></div>thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-51752599390561650572011-01-23T17:54:00.001-08:002011-01-23T18:03:53.243-08:00GO TIGERS!<div><div><div>Thank you to all of you that got Bobby a Missouri Tigers shirt. He started to smile consciously at us, he is talking more, holding his head up so much better and over all, starting to show his adorable personality. He has also started sleeping through the night, which means about a 6hr stretch. This is so much better than getting up every three hours. Of course he is still rolling over like a champ, but instead of having to work hard on flipping over he just gives you a look like, come on give me something a little harder to do, and just flips on over. </div><div align="center"></div><br /><div align="left">Over the past couple months he has had a few out of town visitors including:</div><div align="left">His Great Aunt Ellen from Shelby, NC.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557302039460904258" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitDZXu0i4lHRkGHcJlNEpLr3lgEN0h5CuHF_mt89dE4LtuZi2EUScKEh_WJn2mjsVwIOFm2yZFs5T4G8VjvZCykOo1fLtR9t1OVLoCEUTJ4wsfq3AsOv_ijslVz7sZ6ED9CIyphJ8o5wcD/s320/IMG_0540.JPG" /></div><br /><div align="left">His Great Uncle John and Second Cousin, Colin from Chicago.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557616407608867122" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF8SJpgJjgTiASG_qNouYmwtOGKI-IxHdazRyh-VRaBl4ZhX_4rMlGTgV2yGKC98KD6TVa7EhRAnEwQVzxOFSgf8tgaDLC4JUG99NMy5nPLJr2gYDzdeP5upZUkmsVna4OepIUC2jpqkam/s320/IMG_0326.JPG" /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557616412834410514" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3X_82_md6yFfyOL34RhDgB_Irk35kGg6Tp0Ota1YW8Z-8VzEWr-mjrNERLpf8ATdRaVluTtOP-o-jNukg76Jg0r5ulnBBZAVtPnVf21EeH_oldim_GM2H-ZYKZ9iwqcKrgqDk_Rbak2KF/s320/IMG_0325.JPG" />His Great Nana from Charlotte, NC. Once daddy took the dirty diaper off, Bobby decided that would be a good time to go #2. So without even thinking, Robby put his hand right under bobby's bottom to protect his outfit. Then in the middle of all this, Bobby also decided to go #1. So now Robby is yelling for me to help, when I run in the room I see poo on one hand and the other hand covering the "fountain". Haha. This just makes me laugh thinking about it. All I can say is what a wonderful dad and husband he is!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557622221315267330" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4GkXcbyZwVy7OUBGbLpIuMaBzj51O_mTWyOcSMH9oCBhsFxG_bxhjyxcWmE5x8KvvOIaD2eOy43WGOyY1NVVE9MCNQ_r9JkJ17vw7fKqu5gq_VYYOLyBt9Ch1C3GIE8F7wj0DQ19KD7LD/s320/IMG_0598.JPG" /><br />For those of you who do not know me, I have always wanted to be a soccer mom. Well, as you will see below Robby is helping that dream come true. He surprised me on Christmas Eve with my dream car. Yes everyone, my dream car is a Toyota Sienna and oh how I love it! It has made getting Bobbby in and out of the car much easier, I feel so much safer in it and let's be honest I look so much better in it too. :)<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5558737513276498722" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2FOjzzEg_BKLuXNakq2_w0-5LFyg6m9uECPqhNBY_0VpziZBufbVLNJNRQn1DWi1co0d7LO4mIugHD74vnSA3jqvN8WqYwbyyGqRD03xa5ZhZyUhlT6w_RCrAdo4Cc0ZmaA3rts_aVyos/s320/IMG_0729.JPG" /> This month we celebrated Bobby's first Christmas and his first New Years Eve celebration.<br /><div>He tried to stay up and catch Santa but Santa brought him presents and had a bite of a cookie while Bobby was fast asleep. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast consisting of egg casserole, coffee cake and yummy cheesey potatoes. Later for dinner we had the Arthur traditional Chrismas dinner consisting of beef tenderloin, potatoes, green bean salad and asparagus with feta. Everything was delicious!<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 322px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 221px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5559134506549376050" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixkKPTTwtQw_dITqc_GZV1pcFTW_NyxBbea-n9ok8yJcPwqGTAtyRHFU1jjQ88F5wuGThMhiPPCDAEb3D_AfHKk-YUmwfmO6DV2iEgbzS1eawAqb9fsG00fotXsqThRGUIqjHsnpy2Zk2H/s320/IMG_0779.JPG" /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 190px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5561338386110827826" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib_qyZPwgthrqq5jfMKm2jwbypIgfe7dfI-I1s28FfaKnRQ0xrfcL7uQSub_ckEC2MYWDjLkWSh9Rny9nGHuNR6NKbsLZteNLrGOr6B1ThaP5MPoMRKu_-TgOGMuKdkJa4AGPa6-ca0-5d/s320/IMG_0997.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5558737525222056834" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPHUdO-nHwCW3RZTfukJ9V0LD5L7MVXKRt59JMz2EuuvFCPbW1s1ftCfsQA_P9Q1Zye8Tx79fA1THuM5ZbVTSw5uxwdFbEfk7WPfeycj_Mpfz8TPQBgsmIZiJD_7FpghkNj0IZM0WIjlEu/s320/IMG_0748.JPG" /></div><br /><div>After celebrating the Arthur Christmas we heading over to celebrate the Kuechler Christmas. At my parents' house we watched 5 of the 7 grandkids rip through presents with wide smiles on their faces. The other two grandkids just sat and watched in their mommy's arms. Below is a picture of the whole Kuechler family on Christmas morning. We then went to Maughy and Papa's (my parents) house and had a big traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Robby and I were so stuffed by the end of the day that we were ready to sleep for 12 hours... too bad Bobby did not feel that way as he decided to make it the most sleepless night thus far! It was so hard to even get out of bed and stay awake while he was all smiles and wide eyed at 3:00AM. We obviously have a lot to be thankful for this year... we truely are blessed with a wonderful family, friends, health and a new born precious baby boy!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5545817778195807186" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6tqFLI3BdROCOsAXKeCS4CJQfIsu2NQgfxdEwJVdLhW8kkG4tN4i0w-Tuhd1NgD7X2TrMvFThY-OyFauhTHBuy_XMuTsIKCbZCmAK93Az8MwC5C0ff_S_APsPt95opiq2BpjrDjdtN_m2/s200/IMG_0364.JPG" />My parents have seven grandkiddos now! It all started at 3:30am when I was not sure if my water broke or not and Robby woke up and said, "are you sure your water broke?" I had not even said anything to him. I then went to my parents house later that day, when I walked in the door my dad said that I was <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">going</span> to be having the baby tonight. Next, Robby and I decided it was time to get our new camera so we could have it ready for Sunday night, when I was going to be getting induced. Around 5:00pm before Robby and I headed to McCormick and <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">Schmicks</span> for our last dinner as just the two of us it felt like my water was slowly trickling out (sorry if too much information but that is how it happened). I started thinking about how my mom told me we should get our car packed just in case something happened that night. So I took my mom's advice and told Robby to get his bag packed. While on our way to dinner we decided I would call our doctor and get checked out after dinner just in case... Well after a delicious dinner we headed to the hospital where we found out pretty quickly we were going to be staying and having the baby. If I had a camera in my hands when the doctor told us this, you would see Robby with a pale white face and a freaked out look on his face. Of course he got himself pulled back together and we called our parents to let them know the very exciting news! We were going to get to meet Baby Artie very soon! <div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div align="left"><div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5536627553917694610" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNoHHHyGwlaoacr2_rchJsrTn1Vx5crhyx_ulB56wETphpwbhysWGAyylSPtBzQZpHdxT7RHTCo9JsM8JqFadFv6tcCe8iE12rlES6Kyd6GP6mmR7G56oCSD8i9CrqZG_cqWdPcBgiauaa/s200/IMG_0019.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5536627559740290722" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH_1vqiASRK9gpOjuom6tUWfngMZWoiuORPjqKdXFtRbR8b8CEivHvHY5O3TZxoyGSSzUVDeTqltavAEbRl2YkuQOO_082nnUl0ZX7IKb6vN0OgaPnPwZ8IGaf02EJpRUbKoBnQA7T5zj8/s200/IMG_0020.JPG" /> <div>To keep a long exciting story short... I was in labor for 13 1/2 hours and at 10:46am Saturday morning our lives changed forever and we saw that we had a beautiful baby boy! Robert Charles Arthur ll "Bobby". Below are pictures of our sweet baby boy.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5536635288222691250" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTBfgmTRcQ7nsZkSP0QHGLf_b34gFnX689ApMPyomTBws-LSYSCVRl-0wifVk_sHVL_ZD30rzuZON9cCHMrj0-1E3hyphenhyphen24m3FprsrKrP4i_UcFInfyY3cbyY1zHprRPXd_bCZRm4LY1Occv/s200/IMG_0226.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5536635283502861890" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0LHGlik3xlIpP7Bv0dvv-JL7Q2IJtEwtPOJ4alxXBx4NAf3mmWbPHfUTN8_OTDpmzYsfVIU3Oqa5cp51etyq88P7eFma1-pPstXivobLZpolgKHLmNOK-iGES7euKGakH2v_s5ucpwRcV/s200/IMG_0220.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5536635275742287442" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0jpK8WEvYlKbC6_moEF1vnK85ugN7pAPDblzVjzHFTwuA-HkgFdves0EJd398J1GwyJdxneutRrYN2EF82XIJ8szaNcyhLuLVSPhUXuah4kfxDrhB-3DT0npotCXSc8R2e-EXCcX_JhV1/s200/IMG_0218.JPG" /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5536627570222430098" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmdf5v1MPEdgVAngmT6Mzn14oN3QfPbl1kj-zEywp0afMPMkP4TIxnEl3cQRyxAn_j4o76aGqiBHfByMw-ac3AS2JBVHw8_d9fVgpNyDIpM4Ua43r1Um-_b4-26AM5QepPRzrN1rE9GNUK/s200/IMG_0170.JPG" /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5536631760461251266" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkxv1OSGUXeMesMXXOF1Uer7HWYmK_McwNPSImxHEsjJec9G4frelq3M-HqBMhsUescYhddd-emSBUXfMx055oK_5lwaMoubPrdZfdXOwLG6CR8O0_-rVbJa1RIKTYf7VG2R_9YBIsuyJ_/s200/Bobby+3.jpg" /> </div><div></div><div>Thank you all for coming to visit us in the hospital, bringing dinners by, sending congratulatory messages and so much more. We are!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZG-QovzpgRjq2Of2Ka2LhgiIUd5A394duWLppVsxzjfjMXgrqo3y3O3I8osVl4BehHykaPIPXUoBdzgHn1cq9Em9QbkKU495FwTPKfQZC5_eMXBon89ytDBj-vLy85JQ7EaGsDoHN7Qvn/s1600/bags.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532886888308941570" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZG-QovzpgRjq2Of2Ka2LhgiIUd5A394duWLppVsxzjfjMXgrqo3y3O3I8osVl4BehHykaPIPXUoBdzgHn1cq9Em9QbkKU495FwTPKfQZC5_eMXBon89ytDBj-vLy85JQ7EaGsDoHN7Qvn/s200/bags.jpg" /></a> Yes, our bags are packed and we are ready to go to the hospital! Even though they have been packed for a few weeks, now I can make sure I have everything ready by Sunday night. My diaper bag is the Pout diaper bag made by my very talented sister-in-law and my adorable paisley bag is from my sisters. They pretty much had it fully packed for me as a shower gift.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532878995919302290" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWclE9JopCRopLa6MeFWFueLcyWhppa5KJ60T4XbHNDBHgDrwsQV0XCEB9fTfAU2eZDrsBbT8IIfYAd-p0U1p6s-_G0i3nQPa-F7aKH__YgGax4XTvSUyyCWFPPgZppq3PRMW2Uvs_Ox5t/s200/bedside.jpg" />This is where baby Artie will sleep when he or she first gets home. It is right next to our bed and his or her big brothers beds. What a happy family we will be :).<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532879001003496882" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNUw-TXNx_Pj11za5h6yx2RdXfha56YMllNvn17DjBvXlaiZLdDZJmwNEI2JEwFvt0lPsAAO7tPvrXycbxTk4rvXoAtnfsQL5pKD-Aiq8UCzH8MVW5GG5L6mUCCEV4lYkSqhr5Iaf2SyXQ/s200/crib.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532878997308461906" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPh8FqjKJvklXyRNp4A4b_7Au8vYmW8_jXDgT0d7GIAiGYtKq0munLK0F9WfB7JJgWG3noJbHrek_evtv5ZD1N4LIvKWOxaq_ccoDQzEr7eKORwHPdJzFlvx8QdAzllPpPQ8ridxJzLUPT/s200/bumper.jpg" /><br />When Artie gets a little older we will have him or her sleep in its very own beautiful crib. The bed skirt and bumper were made by my sister Brooke's mother-in-law, Bonnie Harris. She did amazing work and I just think it is so perfect!<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532879578587293090" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9Co0V7PI9Qx-afxUndxC8P2-kYQPhcZcXys4_3-6_fEhhgZo4Aom4pnSjkaDgzkiQsKyLz3G9SX2l7ZGoDgtIOHbCIB3rXyY5ZHlthGoRvhHf_mp_n1zhq2aIAaNgTJ1ZT2HjLzoSWsuS/s200/dog+bed.jpg" /> For those of you who were worried... no I did not forget about the dogs. I had a special dog bed made just for them to share in the baby's room. The pattern is the same as the cottontail pattern on the bumper! Wow I am such a loser, but you all already knew that.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532879579218753410" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE62pOcW9D6J6n953AM1Q5JwsQMydl8sWHOSqpFjUhQA-wUEDeX0BcUr_YehzyLWyBAog55U0YoGtvpph3nl8IUCnRUsm0DYsxVcXtqmva3SX5WRGEgS312BHmmYGfuYbQdPENtIcflcb1/s200/pack+and+play.jpg" /><br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div></div><div>When it is diaper changing time, nap time or play time down stairs. We have the very cute monkey pack and play with a diaper changing station and a monkey bouncer where Artie can keep him or herself entertained when mommy and Daddy need to get a few things done.<br /><br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532879585918294978" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiegQNcLIM-S966NlEhC7pz8iI6HsbbLxZBnLh0Qp25yillrcmlmVv8vup3pazbdIicXOXldaJ4fi26MDraZjWjH9Z6-Oxm0TdOR43G1cgVLC_tfdvdlsVzi1_rM2FCZ5Ftl4bMRt3sFqly/s200/passies.jpg" />Now I could not pass these items up once I saw them... a stuffed dog and ducky with a passie on the end of it. Artie will just love these and if not at least I do.<br /><br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532879591237125970" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-aDQ5dqLkO-vI7JvGr1HZ3G3_0IsqG1IUrSAmt9T7-4flDGcZLLJUi7HMiNPE0E10rGQFtoncQoCePWFDul0hzi_q3PZEyrMOqL7ml3UxDwG5u1dIbsVvleKagQn9gRSf9RGL2Ef_wuqi/s200/strollers.jpg" /><br /><br /><div></div>When the weather is nice we will be taking Artie out in his or her coffee colored Bob Stroller from Robby's aunt Ellen. This baby will be riding in style! When he or she gets older and we are strolling around the zoo, shopping or meeting friends for lunch he or she will be in the very sleek black liteway stroller from a few of my nursing school friends, Michelle, Gloria and Katie.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532879755259688498" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaGIJHhH98OlIIjsKkK4KpeIjxEgMcwoyvMEkuk5atWdz16a_aMnffjpG9tUGGnFN05f9MIK0pKAoPj_GzkJzIpGwOwVWCJwb8gL5Y3qGvYyRiSi6xlMWFlvde4SknpucA_oI1s_4gCphj/s200/swing.jpg" /> When we get home from our long walks Baby Artie can fall asleep in the soft cloud like, lamb swing that was given to him or her by the North Carolina aunts and Great Nana. Sometimes I find myself looking at it and even I start drifting off to sleep on how soft and comfy it looks. </div><div></div><div></div><div>So I believe we are pretty much ready... the car seat has been installed for a few weeks now as well and the dogs just hate getting in the car now. They can hardly fit there bottoms on their side of the car. They will just have to get used to sharing their space with Artie or Artley as my niece and nephew are now calling the baby.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I wish I could have shown all my wonderful gifts that were given to us but they are all washed and waiting to be used. Thank you all for making my pregnancy so much fun! As I have said in pretty much all of my post, Robby, Artie and I are truly lucky to have so many wonderful people in our lives! Artie is so lucky to be coming into a world with so many people that already love him or her. </div><div></div><div></div><div>We will know Monday if it is a boy or girl... oh and for those that did not know it will either be Hadley Jane or Robert Charles Jr.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Love you all </div><div>Whitney<br /></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-40107353688050206682010-10-26T06:57:00.000-07:002010-10-26T07:46:39.803-07:0037 Weeks and some news!!!<strong>Size of Baby:</strong> I had my doctors appointment yesterday morning where my doctor once again was concerned about how big Baby Artie is. According to my Week by Week book Artie should be around 6.5 lbs and according to the ultrasound that we had Baby Artie's estimated weight is 8 lbs 5 oz! We were told that the ultrasound estimate could be off 1/2 lb either way but usually they over estimate. Good thing Robby and I both love chunky babies since that will be what we are having :).<br /><br /><strong>Gender:</strong> Even though we had a ultrasound yesterday we still do not know the sex. The heart rate was 160 beats per minute. Still high meaning girl.<br /><br /><strong>Movement:</strong> This week I have been feeling a bunch of movement on my left side which is right where a foot and hand are located. We got to see on the ultrasound Baby Artie kicking my side and reaching for its foot with it's tiny hand!<br /><br /><strong>Sleep:</strong> Still not sleeping.<br /><br /><strong>What I miss:</strong> Being able to walk without a waddle.<br /><br /><strong>Craving:</strong> Jimmy Johns country club sandwich... This is what I will be eating in the hospital!!! I miss cold deli meat!<br /><br /><strong>What I am looking forward to:</strong> Monday or Tuesday of next week... keep reading!<br /><br /><strong>News: </strong>As mentioned above... Baby Artie is a big baby already. I am full term, meaning that the baby is fully developed and is now just growing in size.<br />After our ultrasound, Robby and I went into our doctors office, he took a look at the baby's info and looked at us and said I think we are going to have you come in Nov 1 or 2 to be induced!!!!!!!!!!!!! Robby and I just looked at each other and could not stop smiling in shock and excitement.<br />To understand this a little more you need to know that my doctor knows I am not wanting a C-section and with the baby being so big if I were to wait for my due date the chances of me having a C-section are increased. The baby's shoulders are measuring around what should be about 40 weeks so the earlier the baby comes out the better!<br />We are super excited that within a week we will finally get to meet Baby Artie and know if it is a boy or girl!thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-1119588863226926482010-10-24T10:01:00.001-07:002010-10-25T18:18:41.725-07:00Shower # 4... Two years ago we threw them a shower and Ted and Cathy were not going to let their chance go by for showering us. The house was so beautifully decorated for our <u>very</u> nice couples shower. They had a photo booth full of props and this is what we came up with.)</div><div align="center"><br /><strong>Size of Baby:</strong> Baby should be around 6 lbs and 20 3/4 inches long. The other night I could feel pretty much the whole baby when I was laying on my back. I could trace the back, to the bottom, to the knees, to the feet. It was so crazy being able to trace everything! I then started trying to figure out how big the baby really is... obvious that was not possible but what an amazing thing!<br /><br /><strong>Gender:</strong> Still feeling girl and still have no idea! Heart rate today was 150 beats per minute.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Movement:</strong> This week Baby Artie has been really pushing his or her body outward against me is the only way I can explain it. The little legs keep kicking and the feet keep pushing back at me when I push in at them. I think we are going to have an active baby on our hands!<br /><br /><br /><strong>Sleep</strong>: Hmmm worse than last week. I just can not get comfortable and some nights when I lay down I kind of feel like I am laying down only because it is 10:30 pm instead of being because I am tired. Maybe I should try to be more busy during the day to completely tire myself out so I can sleep... haha mom and Kathy I am just kidding... well kind of :)<br /><br /><br /><strong>What I miss:</strong> Still sleep, being able to work out and that is probably it. Of course I would miss all these things for years if that meant I got to have a sweet little Baby Artie at the end of it.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Cravings:</strong> I am sure you can all guess.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Best moment of the week:</strong> This weekend we had our last baby shower at our wondeful neighbors house, Cathy and Ted Colburns! We had such a wonderful time with our family and friends and feel pretty prepared to have this baby now. Pictures and more info on the party will follow in the next couple days.<br /><br /><br /><br /><strong>What I am looking forward to:</strong> I keep having an image pop in my head of me in the hospital bed looking up at Robby holding our baby. Oh man I just can not wait for that moment!!<br /><br /><br /><br /></div>thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-3445821714062862002010-10-18T07:11:00.000-07:002010-10-18T13:50:17.813-07:00Baby Shower #3<div><br /><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyZdzjewWEtKvQkiMjhrjgH491_Mrh7UECWthqPpb52GxlF7HVZ7WnhEG89MnBFVt8xKWMlRpj-ZRduW_eU81A5QhVX7CkTtXO1FnieE4GHGFR104KSD22FiLAEUUxLRyGZUwCAWmCoiD8/s1600/DSC_0242.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5529482741649580690" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyZdzjewWEtKvQkiMjhrjgH491_Mrh7UECWthqPpb52GxlF7HVZ7WnhEG89MnBFVt8xKWMlRpj-ZRduW_eU81A5QhVX7CkTtXO1FnieE4GHGFR104KSD22FiLAEUUxLRyGZUwCAWmCoiD8/s200/DSC_0242.JPG" /></a> A few weeks ago my dear friends Liz, Heather, Shae and Kaitlin threw me an all girls baby shower! First was to take a starbucks coffee cup and write a boy and girl name suggestion, guess the date the baby will arrive and then of course what they thought the weight of Baby Artie would be. I am pretty sure everyone guessed over 8 lbs 5 oz... so pretty much everyone thinks Baby Artie will be a big, adorable chunky baby :).</div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5529479104433852930" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaxPtMqMr6KaMIrMArL1bNCIojd3A2MS3VN8Z6xe-2qS9-xezc0M_5Z8IhZTYEuGTV-gMyRAtDFKbk8X-UPLaNkYO4EqxXoJ0_8Luso6FnDYPP4MvlJUvp1m_pW23ew_oWsc3kpIyHpbTM/s200/DSC_0216.JPG" /></div><div>The next game was a fun way of everyone to make fun of how much I love my dogs.. The first poster was "You know the baby has joined the pack when..." Top answers were, Whitney stops working at a dog bakery and works at a human bakery, Whitney stops making the dogs new dishes every month and instead is making stuff for the baby and when Whitney stops feeding her dogs better food than the humans in her house. The second poster was "Now that Robby is a father..." the absolute best response was by his mother! She yelled out, " Robby wont be the biggest baby in the house". It was amazing how true that is.</div><br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 201px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 135px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5529479095302205026" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUBTf8w5XE8Wvb2TIt_9PvyKNfnWC_q0-jRivg-hz27f94nk7335dB6agkCBH8MvhSl9Gfq6pzlEtyvcVQlFsEOqojyHcIwOpK90ovYNIZrr5Dt4t-5c07kz0gHzNWgNHph1VTGs6Gk4ea/s200/DSC_0207.JPG" /><br /><div><strong>Gifts:</strong> From this shower I got so many wonderful things... stroller, hand made green blanket, books, stuffed animals, clothes, photo session for new baby, Moses basket full of goodies, hospital bag with all the things I will need when the time comes to leave for the hospital and so much more!!!!!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 134px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5529480547857239730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrQMIZEetsqdva519aw9BO4w6oHuV-kRxeCTC8kALkcqksdfj0PqmE3ytUr4OzWvldrtktD3ssTfvcb47UiYnaZn30yXqbhbPiAAsj6Y5Dx7xQ7pxGj11tsVnBqI1JHYDRnpbkt5Re8ebw/s200/DSC_0237.JPG" /></div><div>Thank you all so much for everything you have done for me! When I look down at my belly I can not believe there is a little person in there!<br /><br /><strong>Gender:</strong> All I know is that I am carrying this baby really low. My sister Brooke carried her son, Jackson high so maybe that means it is a girl. Who knows though.<br /><div></div><div><strong>Movement:</strong> This week has been very interesting with movement! A week ago I felt hiccups very low which was because the baby was head down. The middle of this week Robby and I woke up and it looked like I had a camel hump in my stomach and the top hump felt like a head. Minutes later I felt the hiccups up high... the baby had flipped in the middle the night. I of course start thinking about how I am going to have to have a C-section and the baby will be breach. Then on Sunday my stomach was killing me and Baby Artie was pushing out against me really hard. I took a nice long nap on my left side and tried to not freak out about what could be going on. When I woke up I felt better and today at my doctor's appointment the baby was head down again!!! What a crazy week for Baby Artie. I am not dilated yet though so hopefully Artie will stay put until it is time.</div><div></div><div><strong>Sleep</strong>: Not happening!</div><div></div><div><strong>Symptoms/ Cravings:</strong> Sleeplessness and sweets again... or did the sweets ever go away??? All I know is I have started baking chocolate chip cookies and ginger snap cookies almost everyother day and made pumpkin ice cream sandwiches with them... Yum Yum I love fall flavors!</div><div></div><div><strong>What I miss:</strong> I really want to sleep and go on a nice long run or do a hardcore workout class!</div><div></div><div><strong>Best Moment of the Week:</strong> Robby and I laughing at the camel in my tummy. It was so strange becuase both round humps would move around... if you are wondering what the humps were... it was the bottom and the head. Next best moment was finding it was back to head down position!</div><div></div><div><strong>What I am looking forward to:</strong> My next appointment to see if I am dilated at all and my last baby shower at our wonderful neighbors house, Cathy and Ted Colburn.</div><div></div>thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-11401094321260747582010-10-03T16:53:00.000-07:002010-10-14T19:02:25.632-07:0034 Weeks!<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTAGQqXZgiuMbYyuLhYWOPLmIZXoBnYDJ4Wn5tXf03qq_My7GJ_vuK4QBKI5fwhlnKIMP5A1bukRFT38NkFW_WBMl0WfMN4j7xtF-xslqkpxcRe0WH8YBszyC2F26BsbtXCbrUBNTfAvn2/s1600/34+weeks.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 134px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5523982310194297170" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTAGQqXZgiuMbYyuLhYWOPLmIZXoBnYDJ4Wn5tXf03qq_My7GJ_vuK4QBKI5fwhlnKIMP5A1bukRFT38NkFW_WBMl0WfMN4j7xtF-xslqkpxcRe0WH8YBszyC2F26BsbtXCbrUBNTfAvn2/s200/34+weeks.jpg" /></a> This is a picture of me with Oliver and Chuck at my nephews soccer game<br /></div><strong>Size of Baby:</strong> Baby is over 5lbs and total length is around 19 3/4 inches.<br /><br /><strong>Gender:</strong> Only time will tell.... Robby and I are still thinking girl though!<br /><br /><strong>Movement:</strong> The baby has made the move down, or as many of us have heard, the baby has dropped and is in position! The lungs are not fully developed so we are hoping it stays in to cook for at least two more weeks. Also a new fun thing that I have noticed with the baby is when I push down on an area for a few seconds I will then feel a push back. This is so cool and makes me feel so connected with Baby Artie... I can not wait to meet him or her!<br /><br /><strong>Sleep:</strong> Haha not happening! So now both my hips cramp up when I lay on them and sleeping on my back is not supposed to be an option. Sometimes you have to just do what you are not supposed to do I guess.<br /><br /><strong>What I miss:</strong> hmmm sleeping... but more than anything, what I can not wait for is to see the face of our sweet little baby!! I can't believe how close it is. I could miss sleep for the next month knowing that soon we will be holding our baby.<br /><br /><strong>Cravings:</strong> I really don't have any anymore.<br /><br /><strong>Best Moment of the week:</strong> This week, aside from being excited about all the work we are having done at our house before baby arrives, I had the best time at my shower this weekend! My friends Shae Paradise, Kaitlin McInerney, Heather Greenlaw and Liz Wallace all got together and threw me such a fun girls shower this weekend. It was so fun to have many of my girlfriends and family members in one room laughing and talking about my obsession with my dogs and how we all hope I love this baby as much as I love them. Mom don't worry I will love our sweet little bundle more than my dogs.<br /><br /><strong>What I am looking forward to:</strong> This week I am going to wash all the clothes, towels and blankets so they are fresh and clean for Baby Artie!<br /><br />Pictures from the baby shower today will be up soon!thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-449547765116266732010-09-20T07:29:00.000-07:002010-09-20T13:39:43.347-07:00Baby Arties 2nd Baby Shower<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmMhHKV-HVTXP7ZGdOeH3psWdQ77EkJlPpqKQ8fQTdUR6qd6aX5wB_7TQoMRumWzjcbckLoh3fdnIS0Xh6OCwOSwW4xaSt2L4c8eDFx4_qtvESy3iD7Btbw311F9p0jMuQ65iHlYHwY4qa/s1600/P9192162.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519014174135183618" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmMhHKV-HVTXP7ZGdOeH3psWdQ77EkJlPpqKQ8fQTdUR6qd6aX5wB_7TQoMRumWzjcbckLoh3fdnIS0Xh6OCwOSwW4xaSt2L4c8eDFx4_qtvESy3iD7Btbw311F9p0jMuQ65iHlYHwY4qa/s200/P9192162.JPG" /></a> Yesterday we had our 2nd baby shower that was hosted by my sisters and aunts. As always my sisters' creative side was top notch adorable... I only wish I got that gene! If you can not tell from the pictures the flowers are not really flowers they are onsies, bibs and socks rolled up to look like flowers... so precious! The shower was an all girls shower and was attending by moms, my aunts, cousins, grandma, neices, nephew and a few girlfriends. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519014151445515618" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGsnUaTX7ubtajBA6LYhE5FwaqUr7RUrdEHp9apagSSQcv4T4Xv0vk6lJliBRAm5y_HUyn5pRtNs-NZwJt0UWJTeQ1756QFdKNx97MpbMR4HKwqJOqTZS1Bd2ZSkRZZ9DPSHStNjNnbUnj/s200/P9192152.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 230px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 147px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519004106414401842" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVjS7MryI4ZTGE4y4-CTHkecFJ2-Muh5dqSKP0lkNiHGBG027k11WUcz8QoFFbQ8MPzhPlkUGYsaoUeEIdbmNOZLI0kwr7Mlw80ycnNOlnyj9fiWuam432o4Gi6aSs1fF8X0da6lL_zzKD/s200/P9192158.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 184px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 222px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519004114343541538" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5Jeh2RNXTeClYonQ2AfW817LqyRA6rFQlsk-KCVlHeNWvSAAPkUoWl-pZ08BHoaLZ76_pa-xw9CnBt9iWXp46mH5u-BlacRVCV25TgRzOOrPEPojfh8gbbEAfinPfEEudGvxo5wiZ74p5/s200/P9192150.JPG" /><strong>The Menu:</strong> For appetizers we had veggie dip and a delicious onion dip that my Aunt Sally should be famous for. For lunch we had chicken salad sandwiches, STA pasta salad, Plaza III salad and smoked salmon. For dessert my sisters made adorable baby cookies and brownies. <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519005821808434338" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHJnkRXBBu0HRnE7VeRE6IQd6UehONhpyYJHTTulUJeW_-Pj5Snk-nIELerYbzx2MrD0hvEvcrxe1UUulUKerNjxtvigNuwzvwkntet-C0Wfazor_JWQCUkhYot1cF5VsiuOeBV6AQnlqH/s200/P9192160.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519014164391642754" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr_s3Uem8aHIVhyphenhyphenHjzOcUbjwRQ0U0wHzjd2oki9QrYmZLgNx1n_vbE8rqwkQ37RdB1ItbYKDVIjee6F8fwbgmJiK4TgKV-ITjnhTx3XjD0ZFqM4enknbkzoEM732791NJGktUEO0sJiMbR/s200/P9192161.JPG" /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519005806189444754" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEUkKcFKBjmRxmDs9Ja-13TxvIQtucVQvTqx9n4n7JjTIFDKaRiefBw0QnmP6bxgly3pabhBdpWev2nvqeSwy6nAHE4b4uGn9f1z5YO47d7T5PPv9hzjfGuH_0u1A4k6whkhxQqaY2xyvC/s200/P9192155.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519005810223263746" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPKnnzXrV2r_bPrUMGwYJZr4ffWsBCjqz1jkUKxqmzv8HMie2itsexWuVi2k4RWxR2p0FohyphenhyphenzcQtQVp3QnsKZs0EPxcPhot67FMgOk7pCjUxQgRkca9AzlQq9XnGCZ8OD29d9m3JUwmKHL/s200/P9192157.JPG" /><br /><strong>Games played:</strong> We played the game where everyone guesses how round my belly is. My sister-n-law Jenny measured my belly and then handed out a roll of measuring plastic tape that eveyone had to guess how big I was. Surprise, surprise my mom and mother-n-law guessed me to be the about 10 inches too big :). My friend Heather played it safe and guessed way to small. And there was a almost a tie between Joy Maxwell and my Aunt Sheila Finn... Sheila ended up winning the gift card to Starbucks. Who knew how fun it would be to have your friends and family guess how big you are!<br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 232px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 188px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519014141953907074" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq5EXvvlvHcx5W0ak1vS2CIx3sNONvBVQpqln8UA0Ia3Z5xHlAmR9asJIUQTgemYr1VfKxltWSJ4xnfmTIx_8wwLRcbG36EkBFafNv_EwO0t6JYdJD0QgIFCBqKEbNDZkZuEq_u2a-Ocit/s200/P9192153.JPG" /> <div><strong>Gifts:</strong> When I was finished opening all my gifts I was amazed at all the great stuff we got for Baby Artie! Instead of the guests bringing a card everyone brought a favorite children's book for me to have and read to Baby Artie. Robby's aunts and nana from Charlotte, NC sent us our lamb swing that should help soothe Baby Artie to sleep. His Aunt Ellen from Shelby, NC got us the amazing jogging stroller called the Bob so we can take the dogs and baby on a walk or jog with no probelm. My mother-n-law knitted baby Artie a sweet little mint green blanket. We also got our bathtime stuff, clothes, toys and for the group gift we go our exer saucer, little gym, pump, teethers, diaper cake, and so much more! My sisters' Brooke and Morgan got me... well I will just let you all take a look...</div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 150px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519014182087076754" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ2ZaGwdtt2nJCKU0SwozKt6C64qNnKjBg5V4jO9c5tKw2pm09e52VFO40WTEH9YH1lV4VB2_997KzaJGHrcVKXucKZqxBKmxoUS8K6i-V8szw1EleYYgQC2XgREptJE2AkVMPhlL8tpgc/s200/brothers.jpg" /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519015480331887106" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiGlUEwjA4fWD2bWRY9VftAdJDSs7gXadDUt0z-zwtP4AHY0Y-7fjTwPph3RfIxq-B3cIUsYMgdXjArMUtpvE0FT6kFhrJgpG5-kQhcF8OVO5XUG_RytmdW5vEoagPkjTSr_gojsnlpH4B/s200/goldendoodle+shirt.jpg" /><br />Ahhhhhhh I am just so obsessed with these shirts!!! Chuck has the "I'm the big brother", Oliver has the "I'm the middle brother" and baby Artie has the onsie that reads "My brothers are goldendoodles"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean I wanted to cry when I opened this gift. </div><div></div><div></div><div> </div><div>Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful shower! It really means a lot to me that you all went through all the trouble of decorating for the shower, making all the delicious food, going out of your way to buy and send gifts, and of course for coming to the shower. I am just so lucky to have such a wonderful family and friends! Baby Artie is already thw luckiest baby out there!</div><div></div><div>Love you all! </div></div></div></div></div></div></div>thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-24134284446096419062010-09-20T07:05:00.000-07:002010-09-20T13:47:31.440-07:0032 Weeks!<strong>You can see a 32 week picture of me above from the baby shower...</strong><br /><br /><strong>Size of Baby:</strong> As you may have guest (if you read my 31 week post) baby is at least 5 lbs by now but according to my book it should be 4lbs and nearly 19 inches long!<br /><br /><strong>Gender:</strong> Only time will tell.<br /><br /><strong>Movement:</strong> We found out that Artie's head is down and the movement that we have been feeling the most is what I can only guess is Artie pushing up (down for me) with both hands and just dancing around in there. Robby would wrap his arms around my belly and feel a little punch left then right, left then right. I think the baby wants out but it needs to stay for at least 4 more weeks.<br /><br /><strong>Sleep:</strong> I am not getting much of this anymore.... If I lay on my left side I can't breath very well, if I lay on my right side my right hip cramps up and if I lay on my back then my body does not get any circulation! So to keep a long story short I can not sleep :).<br /><br /><strong>Symptoms:</strong> Sleeplessness, needing to go to the bathroom as often as I did in my 1st trimester and fetal movement.<br /><br /><strong>What I miss:</strong> Sleeping! Even for a little bit and waking up comfortable.<br /><br /><strong>Cravings:</strong> I am not really having any cravings anymore... if anything nothing really sounds good to me. Don't get me wrong I am still eating plenty I just can never decide to what pick for lunch or dinner.<br /><br /><strong>Best Moment of the week:</strong> Watching Robby during our birthing class. He did wonderful when watching a live birth. It was so great for him to see what was going to happen in what according to our instructor could be any day now to two months.<br />The other best moment was of course my 2<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">nd</span> baby shower that my sisters and aunts threw for me!<br /><br /><strong>What I am looking forward to:</strong> This Thursday I am taking my nursing boards so I am focusing on that for now... as always though I look forward to more baby movements!thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7015520186427272155.post-4976680753544420242010-09-13T12:32:00.000-07:002010-09-13T13:24:00.748-07:0031 WEEKS!<strong>Size of Baby:</strong> According to my week by week book Artie should weigh 3.5 lbs and measuring 18 inches long. Today I had my 31 week doctor's appointment and I was measuring a little big. The doctor wanted to do a sonogram to see if the growth was baby or fluid. Turns out baby Artie wants to be a football player and is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule and it's estimated weight is 4lbs 12 oz so almost 5lbs! Now it is up to me to keep the baby's weight down by limiting my sweet intake... good bye ice cream cravings!<br /><br /><strong>Gender:</strong> Today was very hard not to look at the sonogram but we stayed strong and looked away. The heart rate is 152 beats per minute which is great and according to the old wives tale this means a girl... only time will tell though!<br /><br /><strong>Movement:</strong> This week we have felt the baby moving a lot more than kicking if that makes sense along with little hiccups. Because we had the sonogram we were able to see what all that moving was. Turns out the baby has made the move to be in position for delivery! This means the head is down and what I thought was a knee pushing in my left side was really a foot that is jabbing at my uterus. During the sonogram we were able to even watch the baby pushing on my side...very cool!<br /><br /><strong>Sleep:</strong> I find myself lately in bed at night and never really tired. The problem is not that I can not get comfortable it is more that I just can't get sleepy.<br /><br /><strong>Symptoms:</strong> Only symptom is the feeling something is kicking from inside.<br /><br /><strong>What I miss:</strong> Being able to roll over at night with no problem.<br /><br /><strong>Cravings:</strong> This week I feel I didn't really have any cravings that stick out in my mind. Robby probably would say differently though :).<br /><br /><strong>Best moment of the week:</strong> Our first baby shower hosted by my friends Emily Fors, Melissa Clarkson and Annie Anderson (see post below).<br /><br /><strong>What I am looking forward to:</strong> My next baby shower that my sisters and aunts are throwing us and more movement!thearthurshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13873524143684059354noreply@blogger.com0
